Haputale berak ez dauka ezer berezirik, inguruko te plantazio eta bertako langile tamilen herrixkak hornitzeko bidegurutzea besterik ez da. Goizean goiz meskitako eta hinduen tenpluko bozgoragailuak norgehiagoka ibiltzen dira, eta iluntzean, afal orduan currydun arroza eskatu ezkero ordu eta erdi itxaron behar izaten da, bereziki eginiko espezia nahasketari esker inoiz jandako curryrik onena dastatzeko.

Hurrengo egunean herrixkara heltzean kamioitxo baten inguruan jende multzo bat ikusi nuen. Kamioiaren atzekaldetik inklinaturiko bi enbor ageri ziren, eta gehiago gerturatzean … ezin nuen sinetsi begien aurrean nuena, bi gizon bizkarrean sartutako kakoetatik enborretatik zintzilikatu behar zituzten!
Dendatxoko gizonak lan egin beharra zeukan baina bere lagun Sithamparam-en ardurapean utzi ninduen.
Kamiotxoa, bi tipoak zintzilikaturik zituela eta tronpeten erritmora dantzan zebilen jendetza jarraika zuela herrixkaren inguruan bueltaka ibili zen. Zintzilikatuek kriston ero aurpegia zuten, normala horrelako egoeran egonda, trantzean egotea zerbait bada, hori izan behar du. Itxuraz, jainkoek hartuta zeuden eta horri esker jendeak eramaten zizkieten kokoak matxetez zabaltzean nolabait bedeinkatuak gelditzen dira eta aldareetan utzi daitezke.
Kamioia tenplora heltzean herri osoa bildu zen han. Zintzilikatutakoak kontu haundiz jeitsi eta tenplo barrura sartu zituzten. Bertakoek, kakoak banan banan kendu eta tela zati zuri bat pasa zieten bizkarretik, gero zapi hori mundu guztiari erakusteko … odol arrastorik ez.

but i also need to leave again for another week. i won’t be back until july 8th. i’ll be posting up a storm from now until june 27 though! i might even pop in and post some pictures of my trip ;)

This is the view as I swim in our pool. Amazing! Last night we went to a Canucks bar and cheered for the Bruins! We even made new friends in spite of it!
today was a really relaxing day and just perfect to unwind and get ready to leave.I recently posted about my friend making me sign up for online dating. I made a super shitty profile, no display picture, my about me is two paragraphs of sass, and yet guys still message me. You would think that just by reading my profile, they’d understand I’m not serious about being on this site. The only reason I check it is because my friend texts me 5 times a day saying, “Have you checked your messages today?”, “Have you messaged anyone today” and all this other bologna. She’s so keen on being more social and meeting men, and needs to know that someone else is doing it with her.
There’s this guy who messaged me who seems pretty cool. We have one thing in common worth noting: Hockey. But he’s way too eager. His first message consisted of the words “I like you already!” Because 1) I’m a Leafs fan and 2) I’m cheering for the Bruins. That’s fine you like me and all, but don’t say that in your first message. I replied (nicely). His message back included his BBM and phone number. I told him not to expect a text from me, because I’m peculiar on who has my number. Then, he invited me to chat (like MSN, Facebook chat) I accepted. It was a decent conversation until he forced his digits on me, again.
Inhale, exhale.
Oh, and today he messaged me when I was at work wondering if I wanted to get coffee with him this afternoon. I replied when I got home from work:
Me: I was at work all day.
Him: We could get coffee tonight.
Me: I don’t drink coffee. (which is true, I wasn’t intentionally being a bitch)
Him: Jesus, you’re difficult. Well, we could grab ice cream or a drink.
Me: Yet, you keep persisting. (that time I was intentionally being a bitch)
Him: Haha - You’re also saying you don’t eat ice cream or drink?
And I have yet to reply.
Seriously, online dating is a fucking joke. These guys are either 1) Looking for sex 2) Too persistent (meaning they are lonely as fuck) or 3) Can barely engage a half decent conversation.
My ideal relationship is long distance. I have my own life, he has his own life. I text/call when I have the time to text/call, he calls when he has the time to text/call. I will make time to visit him when I have vacation time, he will make time to visit during his vacation time. Never will we take vacation at the same time. My independence is what keeps me grounded, I will not let any man or relationship interfere or ruin that. Ever.
In other words, don’t even bother trying to date me.
